Don't let this happen to your business!
Early this morning, disaster struck a business owner in Fullerton, California. A high-density circuit interconnects manufacturing plant, Bench 2 Bench Technologies on S. State College Boulevard caught fire, bringing firefighters just after 3:00 am, according to Fullerton Fire Department Division Chief Tom Schultz.
The firefighters determined that the fire started in the manufacturing area, and the sprinklers help keep the blaze under control until the firefighters arrived. Thankfully, the fire was under control in about 30 minutes, due to the efforts of about 45 firefighters from Fullerton, Anaheim and Orange County Fire Authorities. They did call in a hazmat team to make sure that the fire had not reached any hazardous materials in the plant, and the team determined that it was indeed safe.
This 3,000 square-feet facility probably is the business owner’s main source of income. Right now, that business has stopped production, which means the owner’s income has stopped, but he still needs to make all of his payments, from property fees to employee payroll. How will they get this money if their manufacturing plant is not manufacturing?
If they were smart, they would have had an emergency plan in place with Paul Davis Restoration. We work with businesses to create a strategic plan to minimize business interruption, and do what it takes to make sure you are not out of business any longer than you have to be.
Luckily, the hazmat team determined that the plant is safe, but that won’t help the damage from the fire and smoke, nor the water damage that the firefighters had to inflict to put the fire out. How long will that take to repair and restore? A manufacturing plant cannot be replaced; therefore, they need a restoration company that rises above all others. Our team of professionals, both in the office and out in the field, has advanced degrees in engineering, healthcare, science, construction management and accounting—a combination of expertise that other restoration companies in Southern California cannot offer.
